“Detty December” is what the diaspora calls the stretch between Christmas and New Year’s, when Cape Town, Lagos, and Accra fill up with people home for the summer and out every night. Cape Town in late December is warm, long-light, and wide open.
We base out of a house with a view, ring in the new year together, and spend the days the way you want them: a hike up Table Mountain, a slow afternoon in wine country, or a beach day in Camps Bay. Big nights, easy mornings, your call.
